Building NDZ: Make the Next Action Clear

01

Turn an intention into something you can do

Imagine you want to move a personal project forward. “Work on the project” leaves the first step undecided. “Open the draft and write three lines” names an action and a result you can see. It won’t finish the project. It gives you a useful place to begin and something to return to.

02

Choose the size, not three more obligations

The daily challenge offers Start, Build and Stretch. Pick one level that fits your capacity today, then read its action and completion condition. The levels are alternatives, not a checklist to finish. A clear finish matters: you should be able to tell whether you did the chosen action without judging your entire day.

03

Use a sequence when choosing is the hard part

The free seven-day reset gives you an order to follow, with 10–25 minutes per day. Day 1 asks for a priority, a reason and a next action—not the finished task. Later days address distractions, preparation and a focus session. Miss a day? Continue with the next unfinished action rather than restarting.

04

Keep enough context to return

A short answer should help you remember what you tried. To save on NDZ, sign in with ChatGPT before writing and use Save answer and progress. There is no autosave. Mark completion only after meeting the stated condition, then save again. My answers shows your note with the matching question, action and completion condition. You can also follow the challenges on paper or in your own notes without an account.

05

Keep the tools useful before adding more

The complete workbook and three Excel tools remain private and in testing; they are not available to buy or download. The free three-day workbook sample is available through Plans. The test for a future tool is simple: does it make a real decision or action easier? Adding more fields or features is not, by itself, progress.
